The Setting
Picture the northwest coast of Ireland and the abundant greenery of County Donegal: woodland, an expanse of skies and gently rolling fields lined by distant hills. Within this emerald setting is Water and Wildwood, a little piece of paradise that you can call your own.
It’s easy to spend your entire visit without leaving the property, but should you wish to venture further afield, Wild Ireland animal sanctuary is less than 2 miles away, you’re 3 miles from the nearest village and 6 miles from all the facilities of Derry.
If you love the outdoors, you are ideally located for exploring the breathtaking coastal landscapes, dramatic cliffs, and pristine beaches that are all nearby. Whether you’re a hiker, surfer or nature-lover, you’ll find countless opportunities to immerse yourself in the renowned beauty of the Wild Atlantic Way.
Many people who spend time here say that there is a particular magic to the location and the land. This is a true family business, as six generations of Wylies have been proud custodians of this spot. Nowadays, this includes William, tinkering in his workshop and shaping the land; Liz, tending to nourishing produce in her polytunnel and caring for her beloved hens; and Marie, who wears many hats from driving machinery to greeting guests.
It’s a privilege to share the magic of this place with like-minded souls.
